Lauren Bydalek Associate Director of the Space, Cyber, and Telecommunications Law Program

Biography

Lauren Bydalek is the Associate Director of the Space, Cyber, & National Security Law Program. Graduating from Nebraska Law in May 2022, Lauren runs the day-to-day operations of the program: managing social media platforms, advising and recruiting students, and planning the Nebraska Annual Space Law Fall Conference and other professional and student-centric events. Her journey into the realm of space law began by taking the Space Law course during her time at Nebraska and furthered through participation in the Manfred Lachs Space Law Moot Court Competition, where she finished as a quarterfinalist. She now leverages her two years of experience to coach the current Nebraska teams. She also serves on the Editorial Board for the UNO Space & Defense Journal and was a delegate for the 2024 Space Generation Fusion Forum.  During her time in law school, Lauren interned with the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals and had the opportunity to help author a published opinion. Lauren also works part-time as an attorney for Schroeder Law PLLC, where she practices in export control and other space and defense related issues.
