Building an Inclusive and Connected Community
We are more than just a law school. We’re a connection point – the community that ties you to the people, places and organizations that will help you develop as a professional and a leader. Students, professors and staff share a common respect for each other and for the practice of law.
Nebraska Law’s dedicated Student Services team will support you through academic and other challenges. They will brainstorm course selections with you, answer questions about student involvement opportunities or help connect you to resources if you’re facing a tough personal situation.
Health and Wellness Resources
The welfare of our students is one of our top priorities. Nebraska Law, and the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, provide a variety of resources for physical and mental health, personal support and career enrichment.
“From the beginning of law school until now there has never been a problem that I had to face on my own. There is always someone willing to offer help and solutions to the challenges I face.”
Student Organizations and Competitions
Students build community and strengthen their leadership skills by participating in student organizations and competitions. Organizations help students connect with others who share common interests, while participating in a competition allows students to put their legal skills to work in practice simulations that mirror real-life client problems.
Nebraska Law Review
Law Review editors oversee the production of our journal of legal scholarship. Work with professors and students from across the country who are publishing on current topics and legal issues.
Members of the Nebraska Moot Court Board assist in the administration of our intraschool Grether Moot Court Competition and Allen Moot Court Competition.

Lachs Space Law Moot Court

Client Counseling Competition
Second- and third-year students compete in our intraschool competition, interviewing mock clients with legal challenges. Nebraska Law’s rich history of competition success includes six ABA national championships and one international championships in client counseling.
Arbitration and Mediation Team
Nebraska Law students who participate in the International Law School Mediation Tournament and the ABA’s Law Student National Representation in Mediation Competition strength their skills as effective advocates and problem solvers.
“I was matched with an alum that works in an area I’m interested in. His guidance was, and still is, invaluable.”
