Government and Public Interest Fair
Thank you for participating in our Government and Public Interest Fair. The purpose of this fair is to bring public interest employers to the law college to advertise the work you do as well as advertise opportunities you have available for law students and graduates to volunteer and/or work in the coming year. Our 1L students can not apply for jobs until December 1st but they can use this time to learn about what opportunities they may have available to them in the coming months. Our 2L and 3L students may be looking for spring, summer or post-graduate opportunities and you are welcome to speak with them freely about interviews and resumes.
There is no cost to participate in the fair. We know many government and public interest agencies are on a limited budget so we are happy to provide ½ of an 8-ft. table at the information fair free of charge. This will limit you to space for one or two representatives from your organization. If, however, you would like to reserve a full table for your organization, we ask for $50 to cover the cost of the rentals.
If you are looking to hire an Attorney (post-graduate entry-level position), please contact the CDO to discuss recruiting options.
Everyone with a table at the Fair from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. is welcome to join us in the student lounge starting at 5:00 for the Justice Jam – a social and networking opportunity in the style of a poetry slam with short presentations form a select group of public interest attorneys sharing why they work for justice. Drinks and appetizers will be provided.
