There are many reasons you may want to search existing patents and trademarks. You may want to search to make sure no one else has already patented your invention or trademarked a logo similar to yours. You may want a complete copy of the drawings and specifications of something currently protected under a patent. You may also wish to search in order to find out what type of research is being done by certain companies or individual inventors. Whatever your reasons, these workshops will provide you an opportunity to learn to how to navigate USPTO resources, ask questions, and learn about helpful local resources.
