The Tenant’s Rights Project aims to improve leasing conditions on behalf of tenants, and to help tenants enforce their rights under the Nebraska Landlord Tenant Act.

Begun in the fall of 2016, the Tenants’ Rights Project was created with a mission to improve leasing conditions on behalf of tenants, and find ways to educate and help tenants enforce their rights under Nebraska landlord and tenant law.  Through working with numerous landlord-tenant clients, the Civil Clinic recognized a need in the surrounding community to strive to bring landlords into compliance with the Nebraska Residential Landlord Tenant Act. The Tenants’ Rights Project currently works to improve leasing conditions on behalf of tenants through education and outreach, and continues to explore various opportunities and options to engage with and aid tenants to enforce their rights under Nebraska law.
