James L. Beckmann, ’03, was named vice president legal and general counsel at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Nebraska.

Jennifer R. Growcock, ’04, was elected chief judge of the Missouri Court of Appeals, Southern District by her fellow judges.

Kate (Larsen) Sayed, ’22, has joined the Connecticut firm of Silver Golub and Teitell as an associate attorney.

Nebraska Supreme Court Chief Justice Michael G. Heavican, ’75, has announced his retirement from the Nebraska Supreme Court bench, effective October 31. Speaking of his time on the bench, he thanked fellow judges, court staff, probation officers, public guardians, and all judicial branch employees for the “great work you do every day in delivering justice in our courts and fulfilling for all Nebraskans our State’s motto: ‘Equality Before the Law.’”
