Mission: To alleviate hunger in Southeast Nebraska.

Meetings & Committees
Board Meetings – Third Wednesday of every other month, from 10:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. in February, April, June, August, October, December
Executive Committee – Third Wednesday of every other month, from 8:00-9:30 a.m. at a local dining establishment. The extern would likely be invited to attend/observe some executive meetings.
Other Committees – Finance, Development
Board Member Characteristics/Expectations
- Commit to the Food Bank’s Mission: demonstrate curiosity about programs, services, and engagement opportunities
- Be responsible for the financial well-being of the organization
- Advocate for the Food Bank
- Attend board meetings and participate in Committee work
- Participate in direct service activity and support fundraising and engagement activities
- Participate in formulation and monitoring of strategic goals
- Be free of conflict of interest
- Team oriented
