Purpose

The Outstanding Service Award recognizes an alumna/us or friend of the College who provides exceptional service to the College of Law.

Qualifications

  • Distinguished by demonstrating loyalty, leadership and service to the College of Law.
  • Needs not be an alumna/us.
Recognition

Medal awarded at the Dean's Advisory Board Awards banquet and permanent recognition through a publicly-displayed plaque at the college.

Patricia S. Peterson, '79

Patti is parter at the Omaha office of Kutak Rock, where she pracitces on a national basis in the area of municipal finance, emphasing state housing agency financings. She's also a member of the firm's executive committee.

Patti conducts a national practice, serving as bond counsel, issuer's counsel and as outside general counsel to the Nebraska Investment Finance Authority, as bond counsel to the Oregon Housing and Community Services Department (multifamily program) and as special tax counsel to the Washington State Housing Finance Commission in connection with the Commission’s single-family program. She also regularly serves as underwriters’ counsel in connection with state housing finance agency bond issuances.
