Two Nebraska Law student leaders will share their work for the Nebraska Journal on Advancing Justice with a national audience.

Nick Marti, ’26, outgoing editor in chief, and Katherine Houlden, ’27, incoming editor in chief, will present “Working with Non-Traditional and Non-Legal Scholarship,” at the 2026 National Conference for Law Review Editors on March 29. Hosted by Scribes, The American Society of Legal Writers, the conference brings together student editors from across the country to share best practices and strengthen the impact of student edited legal publications.

Marti and Houlden developed their proposal based on their leadership of the Nebraska Journal on Advancing Justice, an online, peer-reviewed, and open-access law journal that provides a forum for robust and creative scholarly engagement across disciplines. Their proposal was competitively selected from submissions by law review editors, students, and professors nationwide

Founded in 2024, the Nebraska Journal on Advancing Justice published its inaugural issue in spring 2025. Marti is the second editor in chief, and Houlden the third.
