Hernandez-Corado, Johnson recognized with Clinical Legal Education Association Awards

Gadi Hernandez-Corado, ’27, and Kate Johnson, ’26, were recognized by the Clinical Legal Education Association (CLEA) for their outstanding contributions at Nebraska Law. 

Hernandez-Corado was nominated by Professor Elsbeth Magilton for outstanding performance in externship work during the summer 2025 and spring 2026 semesters, particularly for research skills and in growing public speaking and advocacy skills. Hernandez-Corado received the CLEA Outstanding Externship Student Award.

Johnson was nominated by the clinical faculty for outstanding performance in the Estate Planning Clinic and the Weibling Entrepreneurship Clinic. Johnson lead the inaugural Incarcerated Veterans Wills for Heroes Clinic, and was invited to continue as an Advanced Estate Planning Clinic Students. In the Entrepreneurship Clinic, Johnson practiced with calm intentionally, providing excellent advice to her clients in the high-tech space and services industry.
