Danielle M. Conrad, ’03, received the Award of Appreciation in recognition of outstanding service for creating a better understanding of the legal profession and the administration of justice from the Nebraska State Bar Association.
Joel J. Fulton, ’13, has joined the Englewood, Colorado office of Hamre, Rodriguez, Ostrander & Prescott as special counsel.
Demar G. Osbourne, ’09, assisted his employer, the City of Hartford, Conn., with a win at the Connecticut Supreme Court. The case PPC Realty, LLC v. City of Hartford found that local municipalities may assist fire displaced tenants who seek replacement housing, by placing a lien on the landowners property for reimbursement, pursuant to Connecticut’s Uniform Relocation Assistance Act.

Supreme Court Justice Jeffrey Funke, ’94, has been named Nebraska’s next Chief Justice, as Chief Justice Mike Heavican has retired. The appointment was announced at a news conference held on October 25, 2024, by Governor Jim Pillen.
