Jessica Shoemaker is the Barbara Wittmann Schaefer Chair of Law at the University of Nebraska and the director of the Rural Reconciliation Project, an interdisciplinary research and engagement project that she co-founded. A prolific scholar, Shoemaker teaches and writes about land, property, and the changing contours of the American countryside.
