Schmid Law Librarians have created a series of guides that provide research assistance for various subject areas, topics, and classes. The guides include bibliographies of useful resources as well as research tips and suggestions. Examples of available guides include real estate transactions, water law, and Native American law.
Find Research GuidesNebraska Legal Resources
Use our Nebraska State Law Resources Guide to access recent opinions from the Nebraska Supreme Court and Court of Appeals, as well as selected opinions from the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals and other federal courts. The Guide also provides access to local municipal codes and other resources from Nebraska Administrative Offices.
Nebraska Public Library Toolkit
The Nebraska Public Library Toolkit provides helpful links to Nebraska primary legal resources, including court opinions, statutes, regulations, and the Nebraska Constitution. The Toolkit also contains links to resources commonly needed by self-represented litigants, including forms, directories, and virtual self-help centers.

The Marvin and Virginia Schmid Law Library reopened after undergoing a facelift that includes new and rejuvenated spaces for our community. The $6 million renovation added two state-of-the art classrooms and allows our talented faculty to teach students the latest techniques for using technology and digital resources to solve problems and advance justice.
