Allen Overcash Adjunct Law Professor

Biography

Mr. Overcash is an Adjunct Professor teaching construction law courses at UNL.  He is Of Counsel at the law firm of Woods & Aitken.  He currently practices as an arbitrator, mediator, neutral facilitator, and advisor for construction disputes.  His practice is limited to construction legal matters.  As an attorney practicing construction law since 1959 he has represented numerous parties in the construction industry including general contractors, subcontractors, specialty contractors, owners, sureties, developers and design professionals.  His experience has included work on a wide variety of construction projects both nationally and internationally.  He has received extensive training in construction law and alternative dispute remedies.  He regularly attends meetings of professional organizations focusing on construction and ADR and has served as an official of such organizations.  He has lectured extensively to industry and legal groups and university classes on construction and ADR issues.   He has authored a number of publications on these subjects. He is the recipient of professional recognition and honors.
