Sheppard Shares Expertise on Intellectual Property

Professor Christal Sheppard shared her expertise in intellectual property with a few national news outlets, and academic panels and symposiums.

  • Nov. 13, Sheppard was one of five featured speakers on the panel, entitled Expanding Access to the Intellectual Property Ecosystem for the Berkeley Technology Law Journal - Berkeley Center for Law and Technology Symposium: Technology Law as a Vehicle for Anti-Racism.
  • Nov. 7, Sheppard was quoted in Bloomberg Law by Ian Lopez, where she shared her opinion on intellectual property and patents.
  • Nov. 2, Sheppard attended the NUTech meeting with USPTO Director and Undersecretary. During the meeting, she submitted a question, which was answered by the the Undersecretary, and he addressed how the law and regulations are handled in the U.S. and gave examples of why these types of studies and conversations, like at the Nebraska Governance and Technology Center, are essential.
