Graded Moot Court Memoranda returned: Pick up your graded moot court memorandum from Vida Eden, faculty secretary on the north side. The exact time and date of return will depend when your group instructors get them to us; watch for a specific announcement.

Small writing group 10 make-up session: Because of last Thursday’s possible snowstorm this small writing groups moved its session to today:

[Nota bene: As the due date for briefs approaches, instructors occasionally schedule small group meetings on other dates or at other times. If the instructors notify me, I will announce those meetings. Make sure you ask your instructors, however; I am not always perfectly well informed about the scheduling of small group meetings. —Professor Lawson]

Practice First-Year Oral Arguments: Your Problem Writer will be scheduling and administering practice oral arguments during this week. As soon as we have a schedule of arguments for each group, we’ll post it.

Mon. 03/04

Moot Court Briefs due: Each team must submit five copies of its final Moot Court Brief to Vida Eden, secretary on the north side, before 9:00 a.m. 

A Few Final Reminders for the Preparation of Briefs:

1.   Label your Summary of Argument I or II (for issue I/II)

2.   Begin the Argument for issue II on a new page

3.   On the cover, use your student identification number to identify which student addressed which issue. E.g.:

       Issue I: 567-81-234

       Issue II: 123-49-876

       Attorneys for Appellant 

4.   On the cover of one copy of your brief, each team member’s name should be written next to his or her four-digit number; this copy will be put on reserve to be available to your opponents in oral argument.
