Susan Poser

Dean & Richard and Catherine Schmoker Professor of Law

Susan Poser became the Dean of the College of Law in May 2010. She has been a faculty member at the College of Law since 1999. Dean Poser served as the Chief of Staff and Associate to UNL Chancellor Harvey Perlman from 2007-2010. She has B.A. in Ancient Greek from Swarthmore College and a J.D. and Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley.

Richard Moberly

Richard Moberly

Associate Dean for Faculty

Professor Richard Moberly joined the law faculty in August 2004. He received his B.A. degree in History, summa cum laude, from Emory University, where he focused on the civil rights movement in the United States. Professor Moberly graduated magna cum laude from Harvard Law School and served as an editor of the Harvard Law Review.

Richard Leiter

Richard A. Leiter

Director of the Schmid Law Library and Professor of Law

Richard Leiter is the Director and Professor of Law at the Schmid Law Library. Although he assumed his current position in 2000, he had worked on the UNL law library staff years ago (1986-1988) as Public Services Librarian. He earned his undergraduate degree (with honors) in 1976 from the University of California, Santa Cruz, his J.D. in 1981 from Southwestern University School of Law, where he was an editor of the law review, and his MLIS in 1986 from the University of Texas at Austin.

Tasha Everman

Tasha Everman

Assistant Dean and Director of Career Services

Tasha Everman oversees the law college's professional development programming and outreach to employers. Tasha earned her J.D. from UNL in 2002 and subsequently served as a judicial clerk to judges on the Nebraska Supreme Court and Nebraska Court of Appeals. Tasha joined the college in the fall of 2005 with over a decade of experience working with students both in the U.S. and abroad.

Tracy Warren

Tracy Warren

Assistant Dean and Director of Admissions

Tracy Warren oversees the College's recritment of students and all admissions activities.  Prior to leading the Admissions Office, Tracy served as Associate Director of Career Services where she fostered the professional development of the student body while providing specialized career counseling designed to meet the needs of each student. Tracy earned her Bachelor's Degree in psychology and sociology from Northwest Missouri State in 2000. After obtaining her J.D. from Nebraska Law in 2003, she practiced for 3 years in the private sector and another 5 years with the Nebraska Attorney General's Office.

Molly Brummond

Molly Brummond

Director of Communications & Alumni Relations

Molly is a native Nebraskan and a 2003 alumna of the college. After practicing for 3 years, Molly moved to the business community providing not only legal advice to her employers but leading business development and marketing efforts for them as well. As the Director of Communications and Alumni Relations, Molly oversees alumni relations & outreach, and all Nebraska Law communications, including oversight of the website, alumni publications, and press relations. Molly is married to another Law College alumnus, Jameson Brummond (2006), and has two sons, Brooks and Reis.

Elsbeth Magilton

Elsbeth Magilton

Executive Director of the Space, Cyber and Telecommunications and U.S. Law for Non U.S. Attorneys LL.M. Programs

Elsbeth Magilton received her B.A., cum laude, from Doane College in 2008. She earned her J.D. from the University of Nebraska College of Law and received a concentration in Cyberlaw. Elsbeth also studied at the William and Mary College of Law Center for Legal and Court Technology in 2010, focusing on cybercrime and electronic discovery issues. She oversees student recruitment and relations, research projects and proposals, the Lachs Moot Court Competition team, the scholarship program, and she serves as the main on-campus contact for LL.M. students. Elsbeth also sits on the Chancellor's Commission on the Status of Women at the University of Nebraska. In her free time Elsbeth works at a local non-profit supporting mothers in need of breastfeeding and postpartum depression support, co-produces a local independent film festival (The Prairie Pride Film Festival), mentors junior high students, and loves spending time with her husband and son.

Heather Hilgers

Heather Hilgers

Associate Director of Career Services

Heather Hilgers is the Associate Director of Career Services for the College of Law.  She provides counseling to students with respect to professional paths and career choices, and also is responsible for programming that helps students explore the variety of ways a law degree can be used in a professional setting. Hilgers graduated from Baylor University with a degree in Business Administration and from the University of Houston with a juris doctor.  She and her husband, Mike, reside in Lincoln with their daughter, Alice.

Christine Baughman

Assistant Director of Admissions

Christine Baughman is a 2012 graduate of the University of Nebraska College of Law. She worked extensively with the Admissions office as a student ambassador during her time here as a student. She is now ready to engage with prospective students and help them through the Admissions process.

Angie Hohensee

Director of Development

Angie Hohensee is Director of Development for the College of Law. She manages all aspects of fundraising and donor relations. Angie is a 1990 graduate of the University of Nebraska, majoring in journalism. She has been in development with the University for 6 years and with other organizations for 15 years.

Ben Zitek

Ben Zitek

Development Officer

Ben Zitek is a development officer for the College of Law. He assists in major gift fundraising efforts and works closely with all types of donors, graduates and friends of the College of Law. Ben earned a bachelor of arts in psychology in 2003 and is currently pursuing a master of business administration. He has five years of development experience and over two years with the University of Nebraska Foundation.
