As a service to its alumni and friends, the College of Law is happy to provide free CLE credits during the 2013-2014 academic year as it provides a wonderful opportunity to use the facility and reconnect. While we are able to offer the CLE course to Alumni of the College at no cost, all other attendees will be asked to pay a $20 fee at the door, exact change is required. There are new and growing threats to religious liberty and to public religious expression. In addition, there are many of the same kinds of First Amendment battles that are familiar to most law students. The new emerging trend is the shift of civil rights organizations from treating religious liberty as a priority to beginning to either withdraw from the arena or engage in outright hostility to religious liberty, contrary to previous positions. I will explore why that is going on and what the future holds for those who care about religious liberty.
