What's Happening Now?

3Ls! Join the OBA for Free!

You are now eligible to join the Omaha Bar Association at no cost.  Third year students will be invited to a number of events over the year – the largest is the big kick-off event in September that usually draws upwards of 300 attorneys and judges!  Joining the Omaha Bar Association probably makes the most sense for those students who intend to start their legal careers in Omaha.

Class of 2012 has 87% Employment

ABA LogoAccording to Nebraska Law's ABA Employment Summary for 2012 Graduates, 87% of the class of 2012 obtained JD-required or JD-preferred jobs within 9 months of graduation. This reflects a 9% increase from the previous year's statistics. "This increase clearly indicates that the economy is recovering, but it is also a reflection of the value of a degree from the University of Nebraska College of Law," said Tasha Everman, Assistant Dean and Director for Career Services.
